Panczel&Masia Postoperative Pads is yet one more product developed by Jeannette Almström (CEO of LNACAre) together with Dr. Georg Panczel ( Head of section of plastic surgery at Østfold Hospital Norway) and Dr. Jaume Masia (Chief of Plastic Surgery Department, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and Hospital del Mar, Spain). After having developed Dr.Panczel Postoperative pads, Mr.Panczel and Ms.Almstrom have joined their knowledge with World lead plastic surgeon Dr. Jaume Masia. Their successful cooperation has given brand new product to the world Panczel&Masia Postoperative Aesthetic Breast pads. The pads were created especially for cases of aesthetic augmentation, to be used directly after surgery. The main quality of the pad is to maintain normal body temperature in the breasts after the surgery, which lead to better and quicker healing conditions. It also gives feeling of comfort and ultimate warmth, optimized healing processes, making it quicker and smoother. The pads are made in 100% organic merino wool. Only clean and untreated wool is used. Merino wool is incredibly fine and soft, causing no irritation nor scratching to the skin, therefore can be used directly to the skin. Wool regulates body temperature naturally and gives warmth without overheating. Wool has antibacterial properties.
After having undergone tests, Dr. Panczel and Dr.Masia have chosen carefully the thickness, size and shape of the pads. The pads have been sized and shaped especialy to cover the breast and the scar fully in order to promote blood circulation in the whole area. Ultimate thickness of the pad has been chosen, so the pad gives ultimate warmth yet no overbundling for the patient.
Distinct features of the pads:
- Regulating body temperature
- Giving warmth without overheating
- Natural wool warmth promotes blood circulation
- Wool retains warmth when wet
- Wool has antibacterial properties.
Postoperative period
The pads should be used as a warming top-bandage during direct post-operative period or even after – as an additional layer of warmth in the bra. Many women continue to use these pads long after the surgery. Low temperature can give an unpleasant effect on the treated area. These pads will give the warmth and softness to reduce this uncomfort.
Continuous usage
Many women report they prefer to use the pads long after their augmentation surgery, as there is an unpleasant sensation of coldness in the breasts after breast augmentation surgery. Low temperature of the implant itself can give an unpleasant effect on the treated area. Therefor women prefer to wear the pads long after the surgery. The pads should be used as a warming layer of warmth in the bra. The pads provide additional layer of warmth in cases of longer periods outdoor. These pads will give the warmth and softness to reduce this uncomfort.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The pads should be put over the bandaged area, or into the bra in later stages. The pads shall be put over the bandaged area, or any incision under the breasts, or over the implant area.
DOCTORS’ TESTIMONIES
“Many patients complain over a cold sensation in the breasts after breast augmentation. Mainly patients who have saline implants, but also patients with silicone implants and those who have a thin breast tissue envelope over the implants. The pads have proved to be beneficial in treating this unwanted side effect. The pads are appreciated by the patients, they tolerate the pads very well and often keep on wearing them for a long time after surgery due to the warmth the pads provide over the treated breasts.”

“The pads are thin and give ultimate warmth and comfort after a breast augmentation surgery. They make it possible to wear with a standard bra with the wellbeing feeling and the benefit of the warmth that the pads provide and so improve the vascular in the postoperative period. This new product allows a balance between comfort for a patient who can dress comfortably without noticing the pad and still benefit from the warmth retention with the natural product – soft merino wool- that helps to vascular the surgery area. Some of my patients have said” the pads are nice and barely noticeable”. Some of my patients are wearing the pads even longer than needed.
